Project 8302191 - Realistic Science Fiction

They ignored it the third time. Minutes later the cell buzzed again………
“ γ23~0θ λ50~6αº Calling ”
“It has to happen” says Suresh in a mystic tone. Shocked by his serious pitch Vignesh turned around. Mean while Ram has sent his cute robot – Ninjothea to kitchen, scared about its AI getting over fed. “Then, what will happen to my company in Japan?” yells Vignesh with a sense of feeling lost. Suresh knowing that nothing can be done adds to the scene with a few blank thoughts “We have lost the digital reference”. Aggravated and frightened by his mystic terms, Vignesh with a tint of edginess pours out, “Dude! What is happening here?! If some thing happens to my Beju, I will … ”. “Come on Vignesh! I am worried about our living human race, whereas you are so much concerned about your Beju. It really doesn’t make sense in this situation” appends Suresh.

Suresh, who has not revealed any thing about him, has found Vignesh, chief engineer in a biotech firm - Tech Track Technologies to work under him before 3 years. They were joined by Ram - a dazzling mathematician from a small village in Andhra Pradesh. Both Vignesh and Ram have absolutely no idea on what they are working for, but are paid handsomely by Suresh for working in Project 8302191.

Vignesh and Ram have almost lost their patience. Suresh recommends them to calm down; meanwhile Vignesh loses control over his company’s online conference. “We have lost them forever”, exclaims Suresh. Totally distressed by the situation, Vignesh pulls Suresh by his collar and shouts, “Can you explain, what’s happening here.” Now, there is no other way for Suresh to hide the gravity of Project 8302191. He has to explicate the whole thing. Ram senses that some thing is wrong in the kitchen. Ninjothea was weeping some thing like, “My GPS coordination has crashed”. Suresh tries to bring back their attention. He literally commands them not to respond to any thing till he completes. Again he adds, “Any Thing!” Just before he completes uttering that word, Vignesh’s internet connection gets disconnected.

“Now, you guys have to understand that you are no more working for money, you are here to save the human race. Have you ever given a thought, what is project 8302191?”. “Yes! Of course, but you never allowed us to delve into it”, chorused Vignesh and Ram. “It’s just, you reverse the string; it becomes 1912038 and then read it in a date format 19-1-2038” saying this, Suresh gradually opens a C programming book. “Now, do you people know how the date-time concept is programmed in computers? Here we go, there is a variable assigned for the date and time which keeps increasing for every second and it was programmed to start on Thursday 1-1-1970 at 00:00:00 GMT. The largest number that can be stored as a 32-bit signed integer in UNIX or C or C++ is 2,147,483,647 and now today 19-1-2038 exactly by 03:14:07 this variable reaches 231-1 seconds (i.e. 2,147,483,647 seconds) from 1-1-1970 00:00:00 GMT. So as a result an overflow problem will occur (i.e. the value of the next number is unpredictable), so any program depending on the time will be collapsed. Currently, Vignesh’s personal mobile displayed “γ23~0θ λ50~6αº calling” instead of “Beju calling” because the call is from a collapsed mobile network in Japan which has reached 03:14:07 22 minutes ago. Ram’s Ninjothea buckled since it flies by processing the data received from all the three GPS satellites.” Suddenly, power fails. Adding a silent smile in his face, Suresh continues “at the moment, we have also reached the fatality phase because even the mainframe controlling our electricity board depends on time.”

“Billions of dollars have been spent to find solution for this particular problem and you both were working under General Shankar Singh of (IICI) International Institute of Cyber Intelligence, Swiss. It’s hard to predict the fate of this planet after loosing the time reference. Most of the compilers used in MSICORE_EMI and EMBE embedded programming also works with this reference directly or indirectly. By now you must be aware that your wrists watch times should have collapsed. A system which is purely analog or which doesn’t depend on time will be the only ticking electronics in this universe. So, no communication (Mobile, Internet, Mass media, etc), no transport (Railways, Airways, etc), no banking, because information like interests or balances have been calculated only with the date-time reference. They can’t even boot their system any more. This is the reason why I refused IICI, when they were ready to pay huge money for our team.” Vignesh in his trembling voice adds “It literally means that we are digitally dead”

“Now, let me tell you what will happen in the next few hours. All the higher officials in Air force, Navy and Railways will sense some thing wrong in their department. Minimum of 1378 flights will be crashed without GPS support. No ships will return to harbor. People who have gone to space trip should stay there forever. No Television, no overseas calls, so obviously the insurance agents will be expunged. When people sense all these, public panic cannot be controlled by the government because there is no other communication methodology. The President cannot talk over the Television. Okay, lets talk about fixing this problem, what if a team decides to build an all together new digital machine, its fine but they have to start from the scrap. We need at least few hundred technicians with strong knowledge in MSICORE_EMI, EMBE release 3 with its AI controls and I@Fabric modules. People need some thing to drive them to work. In today’s scenario, where we are totally dependent on electronics even for food, milk and water their absence will create a situation in which people’s only goal will be to survive. So no one can command over any one. The world will slowly become a place adopting the slogan “The survival of the fittest”

“Even I don’t think few old systems running at 48.6 Ghz processor with Microinux 2035 Professional Edition will boot properly. Because the OS directly accesses the north bridge bus to incorporate the system clock which is unfortunately linked with the local satellites.” Ram literally gets wrecked by hearing these things, hugs his Ninjothea. Vignesh has spent years in creating his Lovelady Beju using all latest technologies like dual phase articulate laser holography which works by synchronizing his emotions and signals from his neurotransmitters, making him see, feel and believe his real Beju physically and metaphysically. While they both are worried about Ninjothea and Beju, tears rolled down from Suresh’s eyes. When questioned, he explains that he has lost his close friend Vimal, who was working with him in 6Mark*dasliuh, (CRTC) Cosmo Ray Traffic Control near Jupiter four years ago. “We used to have lot of fun manipulating all cosmic rays hitting the earth. You know… It’s really funny to hear that in the past, somewhere in the 1980’s; people believed that these cosmic rays were responsible for their fate which is designed by a Vedic mathematical astrology. But we had complete control over these radiations which enabled us to clean Earth – II which they used to call “Mars” it seems. People in those days were not even aware of the concept of zi-gravity properly which facilitated us to control earth’s revolving speed and angle.” Ram suddenly comes out with a high temper, “If I could disprove Einstein’s theories, then why can’t I find a logic to recover the (LDR) Lost Digital Reference!” Nature doesn’t allow anyone to be the master forever says Vignesh.

Suddenly Suresh interrupts everything saying “Dudes! We have to fix it some how…” Now the local time is approximately 9:00 A.M of 19th Jan, 2038. “Either we have to do some thing in the next 6 hours or we should give up the whole thing and suffer to survive. Even now, if we split from here, we cannot set a particular time to meet. We cannot communicate among ourselves. So let’s decide that we meet back if we are successful or else we get lost forever” Ram takes a deep breath dropping his Ninjothea and says “I will start working on the complex theorems in reallocation of a variable’s memory by doubling its bit strength.” Suddenly Vignesh leaves the place without informing where he is going. “I believe that you can save Beju” shouts Suresh assuming that Vignesh will hear him.

Its 11:20 A.M now and Suresh has still not recovered from his friends demise. Without realizing what has happened, he just opens the fridge to drink some water and sees “The house keeping network has collapsed. All products were spoiled due to wrong temperature details from server” on the fridge’s LCD screen. Even his car doesn’t open due to some problem in its correlation with the GPS satellites. He tries to open it manually but finds it impractical as almost all controls including ignition, steering, brakes, etc in the inbuilt computer would have already crashed. Now it’s approximately 2:23 PM. Just 51 minutes left for the US servers to collapse.

Suddenly, Suresh comes out with an idea and tries to outline the concept in a paper, finds Vignesh and Ram in the next few minutes. Now they have exactly 32 minutes left in hand. Their only target is to transform the time reference or alter the time at least in the US main server. Now Suresh starts explaining, “We are going to integrate our human neuron impulses with the system clock, so…” “Approximately our new system will run @ 290 Ghz” says Vignesh. “That’s what I am expecting exactly. I have named it as JEEV-KAPADOTHEA meaning saving life in Sanskrit. Ram, get me the exact algorithm to match our human neuron signals with the binary logic, which they have been using years together. Vignesh, you please concentrate on the circadian pacemaker which standardizes our nerve impulses and forward the impulse patterns to Ram so that JEEV-KAPADOTHEA can have that as the time reference.” Ram smiles saying “Amazing! So our JEEV-KAPADOTHEA will not terminate till the whole of humanity dies.”

Now it’s the greatest challenge for Suresh to link this mystic organic human body with the high powered silicon flux in next 17 minutes. He starts operating on various levels of communication with the human brain and finally finds a new method which works on the concept of decoding the impulse patterns in a three dimensional space. Mean while Ram finds the perfect algorithm to simplify these complex equations of different patterns to machine readable format. That’s it, now the only task is reading the exact impulse patterns, which Vignesh finds very difficult. Fortunately they find a peculiar pattern repeated exactly in the same time interval (with a small error of 1 in 107621 approximately). Thus the pulsating brains of Suresh, Vignesh and Ram give rise to the bio-digital era, expected to be the sixth generation of computers. Now its 03:06 PM, exactly they have 8 more minutes in hand. Now there is no time to ask legal permissions from the US government to enter their server. They have to hack the continental server to overwrite the existing algorithm. Suresh, some how uncovers the encrypted password and Ram uses all his potential to decrypt it. It’s nearly 03:12:07 PM. They fail in the first attempt. Now, it’s the last attempt for them. If not successful, access to that network will be denied permanently. They try again…

They have made it! This is not just an achievement but an absolute breakthrough. Suresh with just a few alterations managed to retain the server from getting collapsed. They were all silent, not knowing how to express their jubilance. Tears rolled out from Vignesh’s eye and he rejoiced, “Now, I believe that I can save my Beju”. Suresh and Vignesh struck by Ram’s silence, realize that he has already started working to bring back his Ninjothea alive. The contentment that these three people had could not be compared to anything in this materialistic world… //{$& # @$^) !♌@&^$ )*&^) &$%@ !#&$ $!! Suddenly some kind of weird sound was heard; actually it’s a female voice, which keeps calling Mani, Mani, Mani… unexpectedly he feels a tap on his shoulder. The entire story switches off like a television. He sees a lady in front of him saying “Come on! wakeup Mani, its time to work.” Mystified by all his strange dreams, Mani stares at her asking who she is. She explains that she is his 3345th mother. Only then Mani realizes that he has 87973 fathers and 89734 mothers, whose selective genes have been recombined to create him. His native is Bosgzn’s laboratory, 6Mark*dasliuh (Earth – II) where he has spent his first few days of his life. This lady (his 3345th mother) is scheduled to take care of her 983rd son Mani, for the next 2 days. Like this his parents continuously keep shifting in couple of days, making sure that he meets all his parents before his death which is again programmed in his gene. Still unclear about what’s going on, Mani asks, “What is today’s date?” She replies 10th August. Mani struggles asking, “I mean…. I mean, in which year are we?” astonished by his question, she replies its 2210 dear, what is wrong with you? Did you have any bad dream last night? Mani says “Yeah! Something like that…” and explains the dream to her. “Come on child, it’s all the influence of your grand father’s olden movies and your involvement in historical science inventions. We have nearly passed 170 years after the recovery of LDR. Get ready, your first date has gifted you a new robot. It’s going to be a big day child.”
